Editorial Policy

In this article

Our goal is to publish practical, trustworthy information about the Mediterranean diet. These are the standards we follow.

Who writes our content

Articles are written by Kimberly Clark, nutritionist, health advisor and creator of The Mediterranean Diet Plan, together with the MediterraneanPlan editorial team.

How we research

  • Health and nutrition claims are based on published research, such as peer-reviewed studies and guidance from health authorities, and we link to sources wherever possible.
  • We avoid exaggerated promises, miracle claims and quick-fix advice.
  • Recipes and meal plans follow the core Mediterranean pattern: vegetables, fruit, legumes, whole grains, nuts, olive oil and fish, with moderate dairy and limited red meat and sugar.

Keeping content up to date

We review and update articles as new research appears, and combine or retire outdated posts so readers find the most complete answer in one place. Each article shows when it was last updated.

Corrections

If you spot an error, please email support@mediterraneanplan.com and we will review it promptly.
